To the theatre by air taxi

"Air Mobility" has one of the largest market potentials in 2040

Autonomous driving – passengers in autonomous buses and small vehicles moving through cities without a driver – will show the way in 2025. A good 15 years later, the first air taxis will already move in the air -in the metropolises to start with and from 2050 also over land.

The boom in drones in the 2020s will quickly boost various industries worldwide. There is more potential here than just filming or flying out packages. It’s about the entire transfer of people in the air. In the year 2030, autonomous driving on the roads of metropolises on all continents will already be the most common form of transport. Driverless buses and small vehicles move independently and will be in contact with all other nearby vehicles as well as a local data control centre for the roads in the cities. As a passenger in a driverless bus, you check in automatically when boarding and your destination is either already known or you simply select it with your Smart Device. And the autonomous taxis, called "share cars" in 2030, will work in exactly the same way. Either alone or with others, you will start your journey to one or more destinations in the city, work on board or enjoy the view.

Ten years on the "Share Cars" will become "Flying Cars" or flying taxis. The first air mobility connections will still be predefined routes in the airspace within large cities and initially only offer space for a maximum of one or two people. But already after 2040 new battery components will deliver significantly more power for the E-rotors, so that the number of participants can quickly be increased to four to six. The demand will be enormous and so an internationally uniform airspace will be provided for the air taxis after 2050. The range of the flying taxis will then already be over 200 kilometres. The service of passenger transport on the ground or in the air will have changed fundamentally, as will the global players providing these platforms.

The decisive ideas and innovations making the countless autonomous flying taxis so successful will above all be the completely new batteries, which will be enormously light and powerful, and a special E-Rotor technology for flying taxis. Copper and copper alloys are to play a major role in the electric rotors, because efficiency in power consumption will be everything. In addition, there will need to be a highly complex communication technology between the taxis and the air traffic control centres to guarantee a smooth and accident-free flight for all. Quantum computers will take over monitoring and traffic optimization as early as 2030.
